My journey to becoming a UFCU mortgage loan officer began in early 2016. I joined the organization as a home equity closing coordinator where I created a solid foundation in understanding the mortgage process within UFCU. I was able to apply this knowledge to my next role as a mortgage loan officer assistant. I was able to deepen my grasp of our products and how they benefit our Members. Now that I am a mortgage loan officer, it is my privilege to guide you through the home buying process, and find the best solution for your long-term financial goals. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and provide you with the best service and expertise there is to offer.
On a personal note, I have been in the great city of Austin since 2011. I attended The University of Texas where I earned a BA in economics with a minor in business foundations. Hook ‘em! I enjoy spending my time listening to live music, enjoying all the great restaurants Austin has to offer, and watching sports with friends.

Justin has never met a stranger. The greatest piece of wisdom his long-time mentor instilled in him was that everyone has a unique story worth hearing, so he strives to make everyone he encounters feel heard, known, and cared for. He began his career in corporate finance, but quickly realized he could have a much more tangible impact in the lives of individuals and families by helping them accomplish their personal financial goals. Justin’s parents are both teachers and he strives to emulate their spirit of education by always leaving his clients better than he found them.
He joined us from a competing firm where he had been working for more than 5 years. He focuses on comprehensive planning that covers everything from basic budgeting and debt management to complex retirement and wealth distribution strategies.
“Finances affect everyone, period. Their experience can be positive or negative; my goal is to help each and every one of my clients view their financial resources as a tool they can steward to achieve their hopes and dreams, rather than an added stressor to their situation,” he says.
Justin is a graduate of Texas A&M University, husband to his wife, Jennifer, and proud father of his three beautiful children, Jamar, Zoe, and Wynn. When he’s not serving clients, he likes to play ultimate Frisbee and mentor young engaged and married couples.
